Questions of Concern:
1. What to do if death occurs out of state?:
First, contact the funeral director of your choice, in the geographical area where the visitation will occur.
Do not purchase merchandise out of state if the viewing is in another location.
2. What to do about travel arrangements?:
We would make the shipping arrangements for the deceased. Family members can make their own arrangements, but should
request bereavement fare.Sometimes the funeral director can
help with these arrangements also.
3. Can we have alternative visitation hours?:
Yes! The standard in our area is 2-4 & 7-9 pm, however, we can accommodate other requests for time.

4. Is embalming required by law?:
Not by state law, however there are state funeral director regulations, funeral home regulations and federal
regulations governing certain circumstances.
5. Can I be an anatomical donor?:
Yes, but you must register with the state anatomical board.
6. If death occurs at home, who do I call?:
If death was sudden, you may need to call the 911 emergency number .
If death was due to a lingering illness under a doctor's care, call your hospice nurse if under hospice
care, and then call your funeral director.
If not under Hospice care and you are sure that death has occurred, call your funeral director.
7. Should I make pre-arrangements?:
Yes. This helps to answer many difficult questions objectively, when planning ahead.
